2025 Black Migrant Power Fund Gathering:

Our Relationships Will Sustain Us

The Gathering:

The theme of our virtual gathering is: Our Relationships Will Sustain Us. Our theme is both a testament and a promise. It speaks to the ways we have individually, organizationally, and collectively endured. And it speaks to the affirmation of the future we are daring to create. In moments when our social, political, and economic systems fracture and fall away, it is the strength of our relationships that will sustain us. Relationships woven with shared values, ancestral wisdom, visions of justice, and a deep abiding love for our people that becomes our shelter, our strategy and our path forward.

Purpose:

The purpose of the gathering is to build connections across established and newer Black migrant leaders and organizations across the country, ground ourselves in collective and ancestral wisdom, share and learn strategic insights on how to fight back, and renew our resolve during this difficult time. Together we will witness and celebrate the resilience of our communities and explore how we can strengthen our movements during difficult times.

Audience:

This virtual gathering is for everyone who is interested in supporting and organizing Black migrant communities in the United States. Whether you’ve been organizing Black migrant communities for decades, or if you are just learning about the injustices facing these communities, this gathering is for you.
